The A-Gas team in Singapore recently signed a three-year contract with Singapore CRRC Puhzen Railway Vehicle Services Pte Ltd. to complete the recovery of a large quantity of R407C from the air-conditioning and ventilation systems on its decommissioned trains.
A-Gas’ skilled and adaptable technicians travelled to the Sengkang Depot to complete the project on-site, along with the company’s custom-designed and portable technology. They captured the refrigerant safely and effectively, ensuring none was vented to the atmosphere.
Challenges

Solution
Using custom-designed equipment, A-Gas’ skilled technicians have been completing the project while avoiding any major disruption to the customer’s day-to-day activities. This equipment is suitable for projects of any size, at any time and anywhere, enabling a quick, safe and effective recovery.
Results
The gas is being transported back to A-Gas to be reclaimed to AHRI 700 standards for future reuse in place of virgin products. This project has seen A-Gas adhere to its commitment to protect and enhance the environment, while providing an efficient, cost-effective solution which embraces circular economy principles.
