<p>It’s easy! After you get set up (access the onboarding documents <a data-router-slot="disabled" href="/us/resources/new-account-onboarding/" title="New Account Onboarding">here</a>), you will contact your local representative and let them know when you need your swap. Give us an idea of how many cylinders you need to swap, and what sizes. One of our EPA-certified technicians will then show up at your shop and swap your cylinders for clean, vacuumed, and in-date DOT-certified cylinders. Once we bring the gas back to our shop, we test it and weigh it. You’ll get issued payment via ACH or check—your pick.</p><p>Once we get the gas, it then goes to our reclamation facility in Rhome, Texas, where we re-process it to bring it back to AHRI-700 standards and re-entry into the market. The helps to ensure the future supply of refrigerants.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nope! But we have some simple terms and conditions, namely: our cylinders should only be used with appropriate rated equipment by EPA-Certified technicians.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>There are no participation fees for the Rapid Exchange truck service, including mixed refrigerants.</p>

<p>We do not sell tanks. But with Rapid Exchange, you don’t need to purchase tanks. We’ll come to your shop, take your full recovery cylinders, and provide you with clean, empty, DOT-certified recovery cylinders ready for use.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Depending on the refrigerant and purity, we offer payment via ACH or physical check.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>We take 30-pound, 50-pound, 100-pound, and 125-pound cylinders. We can also accept larger cylinders but give us a heads up to ensure we have the cylinders you need. We may need more information for larger cylinder swaps, like do you have a loading dock or lift gate.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p class="Paragraph SCXW131961427 BCX0" style="text-align: left;">We take in CFCs (R11, R12, R113, R114, R500, R502), HCFCs (R22, R123, R408A, R409A), and HFCs (R134a, R404A, R407A, R407C, R410A). We accept HFOs and A2Ls as well. Double check with your local representative for other gases.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p class="Paragraph SCXW131961427 BCX0" style="text-align: left;">It’s important to note that we do not take A3s, such as R600a (isobutane), R290 (propane), R600 (butane), and ammonia. &nbsp;</p>

<p>First off, we’d be remiss if we didn’t say that A-Gas reclaims gas, which brings it back to virgin AHRI-700 standard. Recycled gas does not have the same quality or performance standard. However, we can reclaim gas and provide you with refrigerant you need. Depending on the volume needed and gas type, we can deliver it to your location or recommend one of our wholesale supply partners. This ensures you get the refrigerant you need, when you need it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We are accepting A2L refrigerants through our Rapid Recovery, Rapid Exchange, and Refri-Claim programs. There will also not be a charge to bring A2Ls back to A-Gas.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Start by completing our simple <a data-router-slot="disabled" href="/us/resources/new-account-onboarding/" title="New Account Onboarding">onboarding paperwork</a>. This gets you in our system so you can get paid for your used refrigerant.&nbsp;Once you complete the paperwork, you can schedule your services with our team or request a Rapid Exchange cylidner swap <a data-router-slot="disabled" href="/us/products-services/refrigerant-services/rapid-exchange/request-rapid-exchange-service/" title="Request Rapid Exchange Service">here</a>.</p>

<p>Ideally, cylinders are at least 50% full and no more than 80% full per recovery best practices. This helps us keep the program free. However, that may change based on your shop’s location compared to our local shop’s location. For example, we may request that you have full tanks if it’s a 60-mile ride for our driver, but we can swap out partially full tanks if you’re a couple miles from our shop.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It's best practice not to mix refrigerants, as it can be unsafe to mix certain refrigerants. That said, <strong>we accept mixed gases and do not charge fees for mixed gases.</strong> However, <strong>you will get a greater buyback value for your gases with higher purity</strong>. Don’t leave money on the table and try your best to keep your recovered refrigerants separated in different recovery cylinders when you can.&nbsp;</p>
